The eu convention on details Retrieval examine, now in its twenty fifth “Silver Jubilee” version, was once initiallyestablished bythe info Retrieval expert team of the British desktop Society(BCS-IRSG) lower than the identify “Annual Colloquium on info Retrieval Research,” and was once regularly held within the uk until eventually 1997. because 1998 the site of the colloquium has alternated among the uk and the remainder of Europe, which will re?ect the turning out to be eu orientation of the development. for a similar cause, in 2001 the development used to be renamed “European Annual Colloquium on details Retrieval Research.” considering that 2002, the court cases of the Colloquium were released bySpringer-Verlag of their Lecture Notes in laptop technological know-how sequence. In 2003 BCS-IRSG made up our minds to rename the development “European convention on info Retrieval Research,” as a way to re?ect what the development had slowly become, i.e., a full-blown convention with a ecu software committee, powerful peer reviewing, and a (mostly) ecu viewers. notwithstanding, ECIR nonetheless keeps the robust scholar concentration that has characterised the Colloquia due to the fact their inception: pupil charges are stored particularlylow, a s- dent shuttle furnish software comes in order to motivate scholars to wait the convention (and motivate pupil authors to give their papers pers- ally), and a top pupil Paper Award is assigned (conversely, ECIR has no top paper award).

The classifier with the highest confidence value (if above a threshold) is selected. 6 Camera Motion Analysis As noted in section 4, camera parameters are strongly related to ball movement. Pan, tilt and zoom values are calculated for each shot.

Successive detection of ball and players is limited to the field, described by a binary mask. To determine position of moving objects (ball and players) within the field, the central circle is first located, and a four-point homographic planar transformation is then performed, to map image points to the model of the playing field. Whenever the central circle is not present in the current frame, a mosaic image is used to extend the search context. In this latter case, the mosaicing transformation is combined with the homographic transformation.
